Chocolate pudding made from avocados. Sounds weird right? But trust me, it’s really good—and totally guilt-free. I first had this creamy, chocolatey treat with my mom a while back and it totally surprised us both. It was smooth, rich, and tasted way more decadent than you'd expect from something so healthy. So, I decided to make it again on my own. This dessert doesn’t just taste good—it’s got some serious health perks, too.

Health Perks

  • They’re packed with monounsaturated fats that can help lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and possibly boost the good kind (HDL).

  • That fiber content? It’s great for digestion, managing weight, and even lowering blood pressure.

  • They’ve got potassium to help keep your blood pressure steady and phytosterols that support heart health.

  • Plus, they’re loaded with vitamins C, E, K, B6, magnesium, and folate.

The Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (I used a sugar-free version)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Throw everything in a blender.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. Eat it right away or chill it for about 30 minutes if you want it chilled.

Optional tweaks:

  • Add 1/2 cup of your favorite milk (almond, oat, dairy—whatever you love) for an extra silky finish.

  • Want it sweeter? Add a little more maple syrup to taste.

And that’s it! A quick, healthy, chocolate fix you won’t believe came from an avocado.
